No Casualties: Havasu House Fire Eradicates Island Home
A residential fire erupted early Thursday morning on the Island, fortunately resulting in no reported injuries. The incident occurred in the 700 block of Malibu Circle, with residents notifying authorities around 6:30 a.m. about the situation.
Upon arrival, the first fire company observed smoke emanating from the rear and side of the residence. A comprehensive response team was deployed, including a battalion chief, five engine companies, a medic unit, and a truck company.
The firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control within an hour. City officials confirmed that no occupants were present at the time of the fire, eliminating concerns for personal safety.
After extinguishing the flames, crews dedicated an additional two hours to salvage operations, ensuring the protection of any remaining property. An investigation is currently underway to ascertain the fire’s origin.
