In a decisive victory, President-elect Donald J. Trump has secured Arizona’s eleven electoral votes in the November General Election. His significant lead became insurmountable for Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris shortly after polls closed, prompting media outlets, including Fox News, to declare Trump the winner within 24 hours.

Trump’s Electoral College count had already surpassed the necessary 270 votes, rendering Arizona and Nevada unnecessary for his victory. The Republican Party of Arizona celebrated the win on social media, stating, “PRESIDENT TRUMP WINS ARIZONA. Thank you Donald Trump for stepping back into the ring. You never gave up on us, and we will never give up on you. Let the Golden Age begin!”

Following the announcement, Trump addressed supporters at his party headquarters. He expressed gratitude for the honor of being elected as both the 45th and 47th president, asserting his commitment to fight for American families and their futures each day in office.

As of Thursday evening, Trump led Harris in Arizona by more than 155,000 votes—a stark contrast to the close race in 2020, when he lost the state by fewer than 11,000 votes to current President Joe Biden. In the 2016 election, Trump had a more comfortable win over Hillary Clinton, triumphing by over 91,000 votes. However, hundreds of thousands of ballots remain uncounted across the state, which will be tabulated in the following days before the final results are certified.
