Get Ready for Maricopa’s Holiday Shutdowns!
As the holiday season approaches, residents of Maricopa should note the closures of various public buildings and services. Specific dates have been set aside for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
Maricopa City Hall will be closed on the following dates:
- Thursday, Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving
- Tuesday, Dec. 24 at noon through Jan. 1, 2025
Additionally, Maricopa Express Transit will also observe these closures:
- Thursday, Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving
- Tuesday, Dec. 24 at noon through Jan. 1, 2025
The Maricopa Police Department lobby will make modifications to its hours as well:
- Closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving
- Lobby closes at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24
- Closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25 for Christmas
- Closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025 for New Year’s Day
Changes will also affect the Maricopa Library & Cultural Center:
- Closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving
- Open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29 and Saturday, Nov. 30
- Open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24
- Closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25 for Christmas
- Closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025 for New Year’s Day
The Maricopa Community Center will also adjust its services:
- Closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving
- Open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24
- Closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25 for Christmas
- Closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025 for New Year’s Day
Copper Sky Recreational Center will follow a similar closure pattern:
- Closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving
- Open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29
- Open from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24
- Closed on Monday, Dec. 25 for Christmas
- Open from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31 for New Year’s Eve
- Closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025 for New Year’s Day
Furthermore, the fields at Copper Sky and Pacana Park will remain closed from Monday, Dec. 25 through Monday, Jan. 1, 2025, due to winter break, reopening on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2025.
