Woman Busted Twice in 3 Days for Stashing Vodka in Her Bra
A Maricopa woman was arrested twice within three days due to her persistent daytime drinking, according to the Maricopa Police Department. Mindy Dillingham, 54, was reportedly found with airplane bottles of alcohol hidden in her bra when she assaulted her husband.
Police first detained Dillingham last Thursday on charges of domestic violence, including assault and disorderly conduct. According to a probable cause statement, the incident occurred at the couple’s home on West Haley Drive in The Lakes at Rancho El Dorado.
Dillingham’s husband, who reported the incident at 3:15 p.m., stated that he discovered his wife trying to conceal vodka in a water bottle. When he attempted to take the bottle, Dillingham allegedly punched him multiple times in the chest, grabbed his arm, and slapped his face. Officers noted the husband had a bloody scratch on his arm and redness on his chest.
Dillingham admitted to becoming violent but claimed she did not intend to cause injury. She also had red marks on her shoulders and a small scratch on her arm. Officers found vodka shooters in her bra and subsequently booked her into Pinal County jail.
Released 24 hours later, Dillingham was instructed not to return to her husband’s home. However, the Police Department responded to another call from the same residence on Sunday afternoon. Dillingham’s husband reported that she had shown up unannounced, intoxicated, and fell asleep on the couch.
Dillingham told officers that she knew she wasn’t allowed back but had nowhere else to go. She was arrested again on charges of interfering with judicial proceedings.
As it stands, Dillingham faces up to a year-and-a-half in jail.
