WATCH: Arrest of Vitamin Aisle Exposes Shocking Moment of Indecency

The Maricopa Police Department has released body camera footage this week showing the arrest of Joseph Chee on December 15, 2023, at a Sprouts Farmers Market. This incident has captured attention as one of the year’s more peculiar crimes in Maricopa.

According to reports, Chee, 24, was accused by store employees of consuming a chicken without paying for it. Officers arriving on the scene noted a distinct “chicken” odor emanating from Chee. An unexpected discovery followed when an officer observed that Chee’s pants were improperly secured.

During the investigation, Chee had a can of beer in his pocket. Employees also found a partially eaten chicken along with a puddle of urine in the store’s vitamin aisle. One employee reported witnessing Chee grab the beer and urinate in the aisle. Surveillance footage confirmed his proximity to the incident.

Chee has an extensive legal history, including charges related to assault, trespassing, liquor violations, underage drinking, and indecent exposure across various locations including Phoenix and Mesa. As of now, the case has not reached a conclusion in court.
