As the holiday season approaches, Tucson residents are gearing up for a variety of quirky and festive events. From markets to celebrations, the city offers an array of activities to brighten the winter months.

The 25th Anniversary Winter Solstice Pillars of Light will take place at The Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre on December 20 and 21. This event features community dancers and aerialists, with a theme centered around trees and their symbolism of connection and resilience. General admission is priced at $25.

On December 13 and 14, the Valley of the Moon will host Queen Astara’s Fairy Lights, allowing guests to explore the enchanting grounds illuminated with holiday lights. Lastly, The Presidio San Agustin del Tucson Museum invites everyone to its Holiday Celebration on December 11. This event, running from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., promises a mix of fun and education, including hot chocolate, holiday lights, historic games, live performances from local Mariachi musicians, and beloved holiday stories. A festive tavern will offer traditional libations and tamale dinners available for purchase.
