Hotel Congress Sets Stage for Star-Studded Benefit Show Supporting LA Fire Relief

Tucson musicians are set to take the stage for a charitable concert titled “Tucson Loves LA – A Fire Relief Benefit for the Los Angeles Music Community.” The event will be held on the Hotel Congress Plaza this Friday evening, with proceeds directed toward assisting California artists impacted by the wildfires that erupted in January.
Event organizer Curtis McCrary shared that the idea originated during a discussion with Howe Gelb. “We wanted to try to find some way to help,” he explained, highlighting the collaborative spirit driving this initiative.
This benefit concert, co-presented by Arizona Arts Live!, boasts an eclectic lineup including Jason Lytle from Grandaddy, along with local talents like Orchadia, Beth Goodfellow, and Gabby Pietrangelo, among others. The performances will feature a mix of acoustic styles, showcasing the diversity of the Tucson music scene.
Suggested donations for entry are set at $25 at the door and $20 for pre-purchased tickets, which will support MusiCares, a nonprofit that provides essential resources for musicians in need. The event welcomes attendees of all ages, fostering a community atmosphere.
