Trulieve Dispensary Set to Open in 50 Days: Anticipation Builds!

The first cannabis dispensary within Maricopa city limits is preparing for its grand opening on January 3, 2025, with a soft opening scheduled for the day before. This marks a significant milestone for the community, as residents await the launch of Trulieve, which aims to enhance local access to cannabis products.

Matthew Barajas, a Maricopa Meadows resident and an experienced figure in the cannabis industry, shared the news on social media today. Since entering the field in 2017, Barajas gained experience with Nirvana dispensaries before joining Trulieve this year.

Barajas addressed rumors and confirmed the details in a recent Facebook post, clarifying that the dispensary construction, which began in August, is nearing completion. “I work under the management team at Trulieve’s Guadalupe location and am excited about contributing to the Maricopa team,” he stated.

The Maricopa Trulieve will be the 22nd dispensary in Arizona. Boasting a 64,000-square-foot cannabis grow operation in Phoenix, the company utilizes this facility to partially supply its locations. Barajas actively engaged with prospective employees on social media, answering inquiries regarding job applications and promotions.

Last week, Trulieve published job listings for various positions, including assistant general manager, general manager, shift supervisor, and part-time dispensary associate. Reporters visiting the site noted substantial progress in the building’s construction.

While a Trulieve spokesperson has not yet confirmed the grand opening dates, excitement in the community continues to build as residents look forward to the dispensary’s debut.
