Pedestrian dies after crash in north Phoenix


PHOENIX — A serious pedestrian accident occurred Saturday evening in north Phoenix, resulting in one fatality, confirmed by the local police department. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Cave Creek and Cactus roads at approximately 5:45 p.m. after reports of a collision.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered a woman suffering from significant injuries. Despite immediate treatment at the scene, she was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to police reports, the woman was attempting to cross Cave Creek Road outside designated crosswalks when a southbound vehicle struck her. The driver remained at the scene and demonstrated no indications of impairment.
