Tipped Trailer Brings SR 347 Near Hidden Valley to a Standstill

A tipped-over trailer caused significant disruptions on the northbound lanes of State Route 347, south of Maricopa, on March 28, 2025. The incident occurred around 11:21 AM when a pickup truck, identified as a white Chevy, jackknifed, leading the trailer to roll onto its side. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, as confirmed by a spokesperson from the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS).
The accident transpired at milepost 162, near the intersection of Clayton Road, between Hidden Valley and Stanfield. Eyewitnesses reported that the truck’s rear wheels were airborne following the impact. By 11:50 AM, as reporters arrived on the scene, two state troopers were present along with a firetruck and an ambulance, which had just left.
Witnesses noted that the driver and at least two dogs were safely out of the vehicle and appeared to be unharmed. The AZDPS has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
