The Unbreakable Secrets of Unwavering Reliability

An email exchange following the publication of my column, “Imagine the Unimaginable,” prompted today’s article. Situational awareness, firearms, tactics, and personal security are often topics I explore. These elements are critical to incorporate into daily life, given the world’s current state.

The title, “What’s your ultimate protection,” might make one think of firearms, ballistic gear, or non-lethal devices. However, none of these serve as my ultimate protection.

Having served in the military and as a police officer, I’ve faced numerous critical incidents. In these moments, my ultimate protection has been my faith in God. His protection has consistently seen me through dangerous situations.

Even if you’re not a believer, my experience might resonate with you. You could find that someone has been looking out for you as well.

My skills in firearms, tactics, and self-defense feel like a divine gift intended to help others. However, without God’s protection, my efforts often fall short. During life-threatening situations, I’ve sought God’s specific assistance, and it has always been delivered.

I recall responding to a scene from a distance and taking a perimeter position. I asked for divine help to find a murder suspect, and soon after, located him. Armed with a long gun, the suspect pointed his weapon at me—yet it did not fire.

The suspect fled, and after a chase, he was cornered by other officers and ended his life with the same firearm that failed to fire earlier.

This event occurred before advanced SWAT training. Despite my military background, I attribute my survival that day to divine intervention rather than my training.

Firearms have their place, but on that day, my ultimate protector was far more effective. My experiences have shown that with God’s protection, one can navigate even the most perilous situations.

Through my column, my goal is not to boast of my expertise but to highlight the importance of divine protection. With faith, you too can achieve your goals and enjoy the best protection available.
