Temps Take a Dramatic Turn Mid-Week

PHOENIX — A dry air mass will saturate the region, effectively blocking any potential thunderstorm activity throughout the week. Rain chances remain negligible, hovering near zero.
As high pressure builds over the Desert Southwest, the forecast predicts excessive heat for lower desert areas, with temperatures expected to soar above 110 degrees Fahrenheit. This trend suggests that Arizona could surpass last year’s record of 55 days with temperatures exceeding 110.
However, the weekend could bring a slight reprieve with lower temperatures and minor chances for storms in higher terrain areas.
