Take a Stroll, Make a Difference: Walk to Save Lives

Take a walk, save a life

Residents of the Valley are encouraged to participate in the 26th Annual Walk to Save Animals on Saturday, November 2. This event will take place at Tempe Beach Park and aims to raise funds for the Arizona Animal Welfare League’s (AAWL) critical programs and services.

Since its establishment in 1971, AAWL has been a cornerstone of animal welfare in the Valley. The organization focuses on a variety of services, including pet adoptions, behavioral support, rural rescue transport, and offering low-cost veterinary care to communities in need. Annually, AAWL rescues, rehabilitates, and finds homes for over 4,000 dogs and cats, many of which are saved from shelters in Maricopa County facing overcrowding and potential euthanasia.

Participants have the opportunity to register a team and contribute to a noble cause that enhances the lives of countless animals. For registration details and further information, interested individuals can refer to the AAWL website.
