Pet of the Month: Adorable Pup Desires Loving Sanctuary for Healing
At just five months old, Peach, a spirited cattle dog mix, is seeking a temporary foster home to recover from a serious leg injury. After being hit by a car, she was transferred to the Arizona Humane Society (AHS) from a local emergency clinic.
Veterinary examinations revealed a severe fracture in her front leg, which cannot be surgically repaired. Consequently, Peach requires a loving Foster Hero home for about a month, allowing the other leg to strengthen before her amputation surgery.
Peach’s charming personality makes her a wonderful addition to any household. With an increasing number of sick and injured animals arriving at the AHS, fostering pets like Peach not only benefits her but also aids the nonprofit in caring for more animals in need.
Becoming an AHS Foster Hero is an impactful way to contribute. Each foster placement not only provides a home for a pet but also helps alleviate overcrowding in shelters, enabling AHS to assist even more animals.
