Sunday Storm Surge: Live Valley Updates
Storms are moving through State 48 on Sunday.
PHOENIX — Blowing dust moved into the Valley on Sunday afternoon, triggered by thunderstorms in Pinal County.
A few storms near the White Mountains and Tucson popped up.
There are around 1,040 outages reported for APS customers in the Tempe area as of 8:20 p.m. The estimated time for restoration is 10:30 p.m.
On Sunday, the high temperature in Phoenix reached 111 degrees.
As the new work week begins, the Valley will see a 10 percent chance for showers and storms.
Most of the activity will remain in the White Mountains, Southeast Arizona, and in the higher terrain of Northern Arizona.
An excessive heat advisory will likely be issued for Saturday and Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, thunderstorms are affecting portions of Pinal and Gila counties.
