Street Queen Tacos, a family-owned taqueria based in Casa Grande, is set to open its second location in Maricopa’s Cobblestone Plaza later this month. The new restaurant will occupy the space formerly held by Tacos N’ More.

Tacos N’ More, operated by Joe and Mercy Vasquez, closed its doors on Sunday. A farewell notice expressed gratitude to customers for their support over the years.

While the colorful walls of the former restaurant remain, all menu items and point-of-sale terminals have been removed in preparation for the new venture.

Street Queen Tacos will be managed by the same extended family but under new supervision. Manager Diego Negrete indicated that the transition aligns with a long-held desire to expand. He stated, “It’s always been something we’ve wanted to do.”

Negrete confirmed that the establishment is ready to go, requiring only fresh paint and minor updates before opening.

The restaurant aims to launch as soon as the necessary permits are approved by Maricopa City Hall.

The menu will feature authentic street-style tacos, including carne asada, al pastor, and pollo. A new addition will be papas locas, a loaded baked potato topped with various meats, cheese, and signature sauces.

Negrete expressed optimism, hoping to open the new location by the end of the month.

Interestingly, the taco shop’s logo bears a resemblance to a character from the 2016 animated film Sausage Party, also voiced by Selma Hayek. Some design elements appear strikingly similar, including the eyebrows and overall shape.
