Drivers traveling near Clint’s Well and towards Winslow are advised to exercise caution due to winter weather conditions impacting road safety.
WINGFIELD, Ariz. — Snow has blanketed State Route 87 near Clint’s Well, located approximately 20 miles northeast of Strawberry. This region is currently experiencing challenging travel conditions.
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) reports wet roads on SR-80 and I-40 in the vicinity of Winslow, which could further complicate travel.
Officials urge drivers to reduce their speed and increase their following distance to accommodate for the slippery conditions. Allowing extra time for braking is also recommended.
Wind chill temperatures in the Flagstaff area could plummet to -1 degrees Thursday night. However, a warm-up is predicted for Friday.
