With the conclusion of the November General Election, Maricopa County Republicans are poised to maintain their leadership positions, pending any significant changes from outstanding ballot counts. The election results indicate a favorable outcome for several GOP candidates, who are set to either return to their roles or step into new ones.

As of Thursday, Eddie Cook secured re-election as County Assessor, receiving 54.36% of the votes. Similarly, Rachel Mitchell earned 55.01% of the vote, ensuring her return as County Attorney. In another key position, Justin Heap triumphed with 52.56%, taking on the role of County Recorder. Heap, currently a state representative, expressed eagerness to start his work, mentioning his focus on a legislative agenda aimed at enhancing the credibility and speed of election results for future elections.

Shelli Boggs also saw success, obtaining 51.85% of the vote as County School Superintendent. Meanwhile, Jerry Sheridan won 53.78% for the position of County Sheriff, and subsequently communicated his commitment to fostering community relationships and restoring trust in the Sheriff’s Office through transparency and respect for civil rights.

John Allen, meanwhile, faced no opposition in his bid for reelection as County Treasurer. Current reports indicate that Republicans will maintain a 4-1 majority on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, with two races still too close to call, each separated by three percentage points or less.
