Congressman Juan Ciscomani (R-AZ) unveiled a new advertising campaign on Thursday, targeting the severe economic impact attributed to the fiscal policies of the Biden-Harris administration. These policies have garnered support from his Democratic challenger, former Arizona State Senator Kirsten Engel.

In a post on X, Ciscomani stated, “Arizonans are feeling the impact of rising prices, an open border, and out-of-touch politicians pushing failed policies. My opponent, Kirsten Engel, supports the reckless spending that got us here. ‘It’s exactly what we need,’ said Engel. I’m focused on real solutions: bringing costs down, securing our border, and standing up for Arizona families. Watch my latest ad to learn more. #AZ06”

The ad aims to highlight the everyday economic struggles faced by Arizonans, showcasing issues such as inflation, border security, and the disconnect of distant politicians. It reflects Ciscomani’s commitment to deliver concrete results, including improved infrastructure and enhanced security measures at the border.

Data from the Common Sense Institute of Arizona reveals that, as of September 2024, the average household in Phoenix costs $1,004 more per month due to inflation. Between the end of 2020 and now, households have spent an astonishing cumulative $39,722 more on essentials compared to three years ago.

Ciscomani emphasized his agenda in a recent statement: “In Congress, I’ve focused on delivering real solutions for Arizona—securing the border, cutting wasteful spending, and lowering taxes for middle-class families. My opponent, Kirsten Engel, supports the same reckless, inflation-driving policies that have made it harder for Arizonans to afford everyday essentials. We need leadership that understands our struggles and is willing to take decisive action.” He criticized Engel’s opposition to key security measures and her history of voting for policies that he argues have harmed Arizona families.

Following the ad’s release, Ciscomani also commented on Vice President Kamala Harris’s visit to the border, labeling it a mere political gesture. “For three and a half years, the vice president has had the chance to address this crisis but has instead chosen to ignore it. Our communities have suffered from her lack of action, becoming less safe as vulnerable individuals fall prey to human smugglers and criminals,” he stated.
