Primary Election Day: Essential Voting Guide Inside

The Arizona primary election is underway, offering various methods for voters to cast their ballots.
Every registered voter in Arizona, regardless of party affiliation, is eligible to vote. Those affiliated with a party will receive a ballot featuring their party’s candidates, while independent voters can choose any party’s primary to vote in. Voter identification, including government-issued IDs, is required.
Maricopa County residents can access in-person voting information at Locations.Maricopa.Vote. This portal shows polling locations, wait times, and drop-box sites for early ballots. The expected turnout in Maricopa County ranges between 718,000 and 894,000 voters, with about one-third anticipated to vote in person.
Voters in other counties can find polling information on the Secretary of State’s website at my.Arizona.vote. Early ballots can be dropped off at any polling location before 7 p.m. They must be sealed and signed. Polls open at 6 a.m., and those in line by 7 p.m. are encouraged to stay in line to vote.
On the Navajo Nation, polling places will close at 6 p.m. due to daylight saving time observances. Maricopa County voters can avail free rides to polling places through Ride347 by contacting 602-828-0826.
Contact information for county election officials is available online. Results will begin to roll in at 8 p.m., starting with early ballots received before Election Day. Maricopa County will tabulate votes on-site, with bipartisan teams ensuring accurate data handling.
