Police Uncover Identities of Two Lives Lost in Tragic North Phoenix Crash

The crash occurred at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Bell Road in north Phoenix on Saturday morning.
According to Phoenix police, two individuals have now died from injuries sustained in the collision.
Authorities responded to the scene around 9:25 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious accident involving two vehicles.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that three people were injured. Among them were 85-year-old Fouad Shawo, the driver, and 85-year-old Virginia Nathan, a passenger in his car. Both were taken to a nearby hospital but succumbed to their injuries later.
The other driver, an adult, also required hospitalization but is expected to recover from non-life-threatening injuries.
Initial investigations by police suggest that the vehicle carrying Shawo and Nathan was attempting to turn left onto 15th Avenue while heading west on Bell Road. It was struck by another vehicle traveling east on Bell Road.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no charges will be filed until the reconstruction of the crash is completed.
