Northbound SR 347 Closed Due to Major Three-Vehicle Crash

A three-car collision occurred this afternoon on State Route 347 near Casa Blanca Road, leading to significant traffic delays. The incident took place around 3:38 p.m. and involved a white Chevrolet Traverse, a white GMC Terrain, and a third unknown vehicle.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, the passing lane was blocked for over an hour, resulting in a traffic backup extending nearly a mile toward the north Maricopa city limits.

According to Bart Graves, spokesperson for the Arizona Department of Public Safety, “All three vehicles are not drivable but there were no injuries.” Initial investigations suggest that the Chevrolet Traverse collided with the GMC Terrain, pushing it into the unidentified third vehicle. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

By 4:12 p.m., traffic began to flow again after the vehicles were moved off to the right side of the road, clearing the way for motorists.
