New Poll Reveals Arizonans Uplifted Post-2024 Election

Arizonans’ perspectives have shifted slightly following the recent 2024 General Election, according to a survey by Noble Predictive Insights. The poll, part of the Arizona Public Opinion Pulse (AZPOP), conducted from November 20-25, reveals mixed sentiments among voters regarding the state’s direction.
Forty-four percent of those surveyed expressed that Arizona is on the “right track,” while fifty-six percent disagreed, indicating a need for improvement. This marks a notable change from August, when sixty percent felt the state was heading in the “wrong direction.”
Mike Noble, founder and CEO of NPI, noted, “Republicans are optimistic after Trump’s victory, whereas Democrats remain disheartened. While Gallego’s success offers some hope, it’s insufficient to significantly alter their outlook.” He emphasized the pragmatism of Arizona voters, underscoring the potential for positive change if leadership rises to the occasion.
The survey highlighted a significant shift in perceptions. From August to November, the number of Republicans believing Arizona is moving in the right direction surged by twenty-two percent. Conversely, a seventeen percent increase was noted among Democrats who view the state negatively.
Independents displayed a more reserved response. Their optimism increased by only three percent, with a similar three percent decline in pessimism over the same period, indicating a more cautious approach.
Republicans are celebrating key victories from the recent election, notably President-elect Donald J. Trump’s decisive win in Arizona, securing the state’s eleven electoral votes. Further consolidating their position, Republicans expanded majorities in both the state House and Senate, gained control of critical Maricopa County roles, swept the Arizona Corporation Commission races, and successfully passed several ballot propositions, including one focused on enhancing border security for local communities.
