Justin Olson has made a notable return to the Arizona House of Representatives after serving at the Arizona Corporation Commission and Turning Point USA as CFO. Previously, Olson represented the House from 2011 to 2017, where he chaired both the House Appropriations Committee and the Federalism and Fiscal Responsibility Committee.

In his current term, Olson has taken on the role of chair for the Ways and Means Committee, while also participating in the Appropriations, Education, and Joint Legislative Budget Committees. He represents Legislative District 10, working alongside newcomer Republican Ralph Heap and veteran Republican Sen. David Farnsworth.

Olson’s career includes positions as a tax analyst for Apollo Education Group and a research analyst for the Arizona Tax Research Association. He also gained experience as a congressional aide to former U.S. Rep. Trent Franks. Despite his achievements, Olson faced challenges in his political journey, including unsuccessful runs for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate in 2022 and for the congressional seat previously held by U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs in 2016.

A native of Mesa, Olson resides there with his wife and nine children. As he steps back into the legislative arena, his background and extensive experience provide a strong foundation for the challenges ahead. Olson was unavailable for immediate comment regarding his return.
