Meet-and-Paint Series Spotlight: Isaac Caruso Brings Life to Sherman St./Central Ave. Signal Building
Local Artist Showcased in Community Event at South Central Extension Office
PHOENIX – The South Central Extension/downtown Hub Meet-and-Paint series returns, featuring local artist Isaac Caruso, known for his work on the South Central Extension/Downtown Hub light rail project.
This event follows the successful launch with Diego Perez, offering attendees an opportunity to engage with Caruso, witness his artistic process, and create their own artwork inspired by his designs.
When: Saturday, Nov. 16 | 10-11:30 a.m. (English session) | 1-2:30 p.m. (Spanish session)
Where: SCE Community Office, 5040 S. Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85040. Parking is available along Cody Dr., north of Central and Roeser Rd.
Event Details: Participants will meet Isaac Caruso and receive updates on his contributions to the light rail project. Attendees will have the chance to paint using provided materials, including canvases, easels, and acrylic paints, based on a pre-printed phoenix stencil inspired by Caruso’s work.
The event is free, but space is limited to 12 participants per session. Interested individuals must register online to secure a spot.

About the South Central Extension/Downtown Hub: Set to enhance the existing light rail service in downtown Phoenix, this project will link significant neighborhoods along Central Avenue to Baseline Road. The new light rail transit hub will feature multiple new stations and art installations, paving the way for a two-line light rail system by mid-2025.
