MCC Expands Horizons with Exciting New Children’s Classes in Lake Havasu City
Mohave Community College’s Lake Havasu Campus is set to enhance its Community Education program by introducing a diverse range of classes aimed at engaging children from ages 4 to 15. This initiative is designed to keep young minds active and learning throughout the academic year.
One notable addition is the Introduction to Children’s Ballet class. Participants will learn fundamental ballet techniques and terminology, with a strong emphasis on conditioning, proper alignment, and flexibility. Classes will take place on Wednesdays, starting September 4 and continuing through December 18.
For aspiring artists, the Kids Ceramics class offers an opportunity for ages 10-18 to delve into the world of pottery. In this course, students will create decorative sculptures, functional mugs, and festive Christmas ornaments. The class is scheduled for Thursdays, running from September 5 to September 26.
Musically inclined children can look forward to Kids Voice Classes designed specifically for two age groups. The younger class, catering to ages 5-8, will focus on breathwork, music theory, and performance skills, while taking place on Fridays from September 27 to December 6. Meanwhile, a session for ages 9-12 will occur on Wednesdays, from September 25 to December 4.
In addition, the Cookies for Santa workshop invites children ages 7-10 to create and decorate their own cookie plates for Santa. This hands-on experience will provide all necessary materials and is set for November 9, from 9 to 11 a.m.
