Kamala Harris and Tim Walz Electrify Packed Glendale Rally: Live Coverage

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Thousands of people filled Desert Diamond Arena to see Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz during their rally on Friday. The event, part of their tour across key battleground states, saw the arena’s capacity of up to 20,000 people completely filled, with photos and videos on social media showing a packed house.
“I’ve been to dozens of campaign rallies this cycle: Trump, Biden, Haley, DeSantis, etc. This Harris rally in Glendale, AZ, is — by far — the biggest crowd (and biggest venue) I’ve seen,” tweeted Samuel Benson, providing a glimpse into the massive turnout.
Prior to addressing the crowd, Harris and Walz stopped at a local campaign office. They engaged with volunteers and took a photograph in front of a sign that read “Kamala and Coach,” a testament to their collaborative campaign efforts.
A small group of MAGA flag-waving protestors positioned themselves outside the arena, vocal in their opposition. “I’m not fond of her,” one protestor remarked, expressing discontent.
Several local leaders, including Gila River Indian Community Governor Stephen Roe Lewis and Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, spoke ahead of Harris and Walz. The crowd warmly received former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and Senator Mark Kelly, erupting in chants of “Gabby! Gabby! Gabby!”
Senator Kelly, who had been considered a potential running mate, endorsed Harris and Walz’s campaign. “They’re already building a campaign to unite our country,” Kelly stated in support.
