Republican Pamela Carter has emerged as a significant addition to Arizona’s Legislative District 4, marking a successful campaign that secured both House seats for the GOP in this competitive region. Representing Scottsdale, Carter is poised to begin her first term, having previously run for the Scottsdale City Council in 2022. She will play an active role in various committees, including the Natural Resource, Energy, and Water Committee, and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, while serving as vice chairwoman of the Public Safety and Law Enforcement Committee.

Carter’s legislative priorities are firmly rooted in her campaign platform, emphasizing low taxes, school safety, and law enforcement support. “I’m committed to protecting our children from radical left-wing agendas that seek to impose harmful ideologies on kids,” she stated on her campaign site. She advocates for parental authority when it comes to educational decisions.

Prior to entering politics, Carter owned a sports medicine and weight training business that catered to NFL athletes and ASU football players, culminating in her hosting the TV show “Get in Shape with Pamela Carter,” which aired for 18 years. Despite multiple attempts, she did not respond to interview requests from the Arizona Capitol Times before their publication deadline.
