Man, woman arrested in Havasu prostitution sting

Two separate sting operations conducted by undercover Lake Havasu City detectives led to arrests on prostitution charges this week. One suspect was apprehended after allegedly offering escort services online, while the other engaged with an undercover advertisement.

On July 23, Lake Havasu City detectives discovered an online advertisement featuring a 21-year-old Kingman resident, “Luna Baby,” who offered escort services. The ad included ten photos, which initiated the investigation.

Detectives texted Luna at about 1 p.m. and arranged a meeting. A conversation via text indicated Luna would provide sexual services for $350. To verify the detective wasn’t law enforcement, Luna requested a photo of his lower anatomy, to which he sent an image of a prosthetic.

Later that afternoon, Luna arrived in Havasu with a male passenger and a firearm, according to the police report. She entered the Studio Six Suites, where she discussed details with an undercover detective.

Authorities then identified Luna as 19-year-old Kingman resident Roseann Castro. She faces charges of prostitution, solicitation of a crime, and possession of a deadly weapon by a person under 21.

In a separate operation the same day, detectives posted an online advertisement targeting potential solicitors. Hugo Ramos, a 52-year-old Riverside resident, responded to the ad and agreed to pay $75 for a half-hour of services.

Ramos met Detective Gabriela Sumner at the Studio Six Suites. Upon arrival, he was taken into custody without incident for charges of prostitution and solicitation of a crime.

Ramos pled guilty to prostitution as a first offense and received an unsupervised probation sentence along with fines up to $699.

Meanwhile, Castro was arraigned on charges including prostitution and possession of a deadly weapon by a person under 21, with the solicitation charge dismissed. She remains in custody at Mohave County Jail without bond.
