Havasu's Cancer Care Resource to host walk for breast cancer awareness

Cancer Care Resource will host its inaugural Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness on Saturday, Sept. 21, beginning at 7:30 a.m. under the iconic London Bridge. This event pays tribute to all breast cancer survivors, regardless of gender, and is dedicated to the memory of Arlene Polster.

The walk is a significant part of Cancer Care Resource’s campaign to enhance awareness prior to Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. The organization seeks to inspire community members to undergo regular screenings and to bolster support for local breast cancer care consistently throughout the year.

Registration for the walk is set at $20, with free participation for preschoolers. Additionally, T-shirts can be purchased for $15. Multiple sponsorship levels are available as well.

Participants are encouraged to bring friends, create teams, and show their solidarity with those affected by breast cancer. Given that breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women, the event underscores the critical importance of early detection and ongoing support in saving lives.
