Harris and Trump Gear Up for a Spooky Arizona Showdown on Halloween
Both former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will be in Arizona on Halloween.
PHOENIX — The race for the presidency intensifies as both candidates ramp up their campaigns in Arizona, a crucial battleground state. With just nine days to go until Election Day, each political figure is making significant stops to engage with voters.
Current polling indicates a tight competition between Trump and Harris. “The last stretch is critical for both campaigns,” said Ulrich Jensen, an associate professor at Arizona State University’s School of Public Affairs. He emphasized that swing states will be pivotal in determining the election’s outcome.
Jensen highlighted that core issues like the economy and immigration are central to voter concerns, suggesting that both campaigns will intensify focus on these topics. “They want to be visible and close to the voters in the states that are ultimately going to be decisive for who’s going to win,” he stated.
On Halloween, both Trump and Harris are slated for appearances in Arizona. Trump will hold an event featuring Tucker Carlson in Glendale, while Harris will conduct a rally in Phoenix with the musical group Los Tigres del Norte.
Family members from both campaigns will also be present in Arizona this week. Lara Trump is expected to speak at a Team Trump Women’s Tour event in Phoenix on Monday. Meanwhile, Gwen Walz will join a Harris Get Out the Vote gathering in Phoenix on Tuesday.
