Fiery Crash Closes SR 347 SB Near Riggs Road: Major Traffic Alert

A fiery rollover crash involving a black Ram 2500 pickup truck occurred this morning on State Route 347 near Riggs Road, leading to a significant traffic disruption. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) confirmed the incident was reported at 6:03 a.m. as it unfolded during the morning rush hour.

Eyewitnesses noted the pickup truck had overturned and ignited soon after 5:45 a.m., sending thick, black smoke into the sky. A silver Infiniti sedan was also found in a nearby ditch, reportedly “destroyed” in the incident.

First responders quickly arrived on the scene, extinguishing the flames and extricating the driver of the Ram truck, who was reported to have survived. They were seen prying open the passenger-side door to assist.
