Two arrested in Lake Havasu City drug bust

In an early morning operation on Sweetwater Avenue, Lake Havasu City Police arrested two local residents for drug-related offenses. The incident took place around 4:43 a.m. on Wednesday.

During the traffic stop, officers deployed the department’s K-9 unit, Echo, which signaled the presence of narcotic substances in the vehicle. A subsequent search yielded approximately ¼ pound of methamphetamine, 500 suspected fentanyl pills, $1,741 in cash, and a loaded 9MM handgun.

Authorities estimate the street value of the fentanyl pills to be $5,000, while the methamphetamine is valued at about $2,750.

Michael Seedorf, 48, and Shannon Winker, 38, both residents of Lake Havasu City, were arrested at the scene. Charges against them include transporting narcotic drugs, transporting dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, Winker faced an extra charge for introducing contraband into a detention facility after two fentanyl pills were discovered during her booking process.

The suspects were each held on $50,000 cash-only bonds and subsequently transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
