County Attorney Speaks Out: Grief Over Former Colleague’s Shooting Death Lingers

PHOENIX — A tragic shooting incident occurred Friday morning in an Arcadia neighborhood, resulting in the death of a local attorney identified as 51-year-old James Arthur Eaves.
At around 8 a.m., officers from the Phoenix Police Department responded to reports of gunfire near Camelback Road and 44th Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Eaves lying in his driveway with fatal gunshot wounds. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
Subsequent investigations led to the detention of Eaves’ brother, 49-year-old Christopher Arthur Eaves, who is currently facing multiple charges, including murder.
