Maricopa, AZ – A significant police response unfolded on Saturday afternoon, November 2, 2024, in Maricopa Meadows, when officers arrested a man following alarming threats made against his girlfriend’s family. Officers arrived on the scene with rifles, prepared for a potentially dangerous situation.

Justin Brown, 24, was taken into custody on charges that include making threats of violence. The incident began around 3:30 p.m. after Brown’s girlfriend contacted 911, sharing that he had threatened her with a firearm.

According to police reports, the couple had a heated argument that escalated after Brown accused the woman of infidelity. Distressed, she left his residence on Dirk Street and headed toward a nearby park. Brown followed her, shouting threats that he would retrieve a weapon and claimed he would kill her entire family.

At the scene, Brown’s father corroborated the allegations, informing officers he had been in communication with his son during the outburst. This testimony supported the claims of threatening behavior shared by the victim.

The police were able to apprehend Brown at his home without any confrontation and seized the firearm involved. He has been transported to the Pinal County Jail, where he is facing a potential sentence of one year.
