Coach’s Corner: Arizona Cardinals’ Head Coach Sets Bold Expectations as Training Camp Begins
Training camp for the Arizona Cardinals started this week and head coach Jonathan Gannon says he expects the team to improve every day.
GLENDALE, Ariz. — Head Coach Jonathan Gannon has kicked off the Arizona Cardinals’ training camp with a focus on daily improvement. Addressing his team, Gannon emphasized the importance of consistent progress and strategizing for the upcoming season.
When questioned on his game-winning plans, Gannon remained tight-lipped. “I’m gonna keep that one between closed doors,” he responded with a smile.
The team began their training sessions on Wednesday, gearing up for the 2024 season with a rigorous camp schedule that extends through Monday. Reflecting on their past performance, the Cardinals ended the 2023 season with a 4-13 record, managing 19.4 points per game and totaling 330 points.
Gannon provided a health update, noting that the team is mostly healthy going into camp, except for Jon Gaines who will start camp with limited participation. “He’s chomping at the bit to get going,” Gannon mentioned.
This marks Gannon’s second season with the Cardinals. His mantra for the season focuses on daily improvement and concentrating on each game as it comes. “I’m all about trying to get better every day,” he stated.
