Republican Congressman Juan Ciscomani (CD-06) has earned recognition as the most effective lawmaker from Arizona in the 118th Congress, according to the nonpartisan Center for Effective Lawmaking (CEL). This achievement positions him among the top legislators nationally, placing him 15th overall in the House of Representatives and third among freshman members.

“It’s about getting the job done,” Ciscomani stated. He emphasized his commitment to delivering pragmatic, lasting results for his constituents in Arizona’s 6th Congressional District. “Being recognized as one of the most effective lawmakers in the House during my freshman term is an honor and a reflection of that mission,” he added.

Ciscomani serves on the House Appropriations and House Veterans’ Affairs committees. He was evaluated by a joint effort of the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia and Vanderbilt University. Their findings indicated that Ciscomani and other top lawmakers successfully advanced their initiatives amid significant political challenges in 2023 and 2024.

“Whether it’s pushing legislation to secure the border, support our veterans, safeguard Arizona’s water, or protecting our seniors, I don’t take no for an answer,” Ciscomani remarked. He expressed pride in his achievements during his initial term and vowed to continue his efforts in the upcoming term.

The CEL reported that Ciscomani introduced 24 pieces of significant legislation during the 118th Congress, with six bills passing and two being signed into law.
