Brown Takes the Helm of Arts Center

In January, the Central Arts Alliance announced the appointment of Paul Brown as the new chief executive officer for the Phoenix Center for the Arts. With extensive experience in public service and nonprofit leadership, Brown is expected to enhance the organization’s mission of community empowerment and artistic expression.

Paul Brown earned a master’s degree in public administration from Savannah State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Winthrop University. Originating from Charleston, South Carolina, his career spans multiple sectors, including education, government, and various nonprofits.

The Phoenix Center for the Arts, situated at 1202 N. 3rd St. with a satellite location at 1106 E. Grovers Ave., aims to provide accessible arts and cultural opportunities through diverse educational programs and advocacy efforts.
