Barro’s Pizza, a beloved establishment in Maricopa, is preparing for a significant transition as it approaches its 18th anniversary. The Gilbert-based pizza chain has announced plans to relocate to a new venue in March 2024.

The new location will be at the former Pizza Hut site, situated at 21101 N. John Wayne Parkway, Suite E102. General Manager Mike Hull expressed enthusiasm about the move, stating, “It’s time to switch it up a little bit.” He noted that such relocations often lead to an uptick in business, typically within a mile or two of the previous site.

This relocation promises a more spacious kitchen to better handle orders, addressing a pressing need the restaurant has faced. Although the indoor dining area will be smaller, patrons can look forward to a new patio dining space on the north side of the building.

The shift marks a notable change for Barro’s, which previously expanded into the old Radio Shack space in 2014. This move is its first since settling at Smith-Enke Road in 2007, emphasizing the restaurant’s adaptability and commitment to enhancing the customer experience.

The recent migration of Pizza Hut to a newer, smaller suite just four doors down may well have paved the way for Barro’s upcoming transition, signaling a dynamic shift in the local dining landscape.
