ADOT to talk SR 347 improvements at public meeting

Arizona’s State Route 347 (SR 347) will soon see significant improvements to enhance traffic flow and safety. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has scheduled a public meeting on Thursday, Aug. 15 at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center to discuss these plans. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to attend this informative session.

The proposed upgrades include the addition of one lane in each direction along SR 347. Bridges at Santa Rosa Wash, Santa Cruz Wash, and the Gila River will also be widened. Furthermore, there will be intersection improvements at Sacate and Maricopa Roads.

Another major project involves constructing a bridge interchange at Riggs Road to separate cross-street traffic. Additionally, intersections at Casa Blanca Road and Mammoth Way, the access road to the cement plant, will see enhancements.

Doors to the Redwood Rooms at the library will open at 5:30 p.m., with the formal presentation starting at 6 p.m. A question-and-answer session will follow around 6:30 p.m., providing a platform for public inquiries.
