Pet of the Month: Meet Terrific Tony, the Energetic Heartthrob!

Terrific Tony is an energetic older gent who enjoys car rides and splashing in the water. He will offer lots of love to his new forever family (photo courtesy of Arizona Humane Society).
Tony, a charming nine-year-old Australian Kelpie, has become one of the longest residents at the Arizona Humane Society (AHS). His journey began in 2015 when he arrived as an injured puppy at AHS’s trauma hospital. After receiving treatment, he quickly found a loving home. Unfortunately, Tony was recently returned through no fault of his own, as his previous owner could no longer care for him.
Adopting senior dogs like Tony offers numerous benefits. Potential adopters can usually know more about their backgrounds, and they can appreciate the dog’s full personality upfront. Tony is already housetrained, showcases a love for car rides, and enjoys refreshing splashes in the water. Despite his age, he’s vibrant and energetic, making him a delightful addition to any family.
Prospective families can meet Tony (pet number 519419) at AHS’s Papago Park Campus. His waived adoption fee covers neuter surgery, current vaccinations, a microchip, and a follow-up wellness exam at a local veterinary facility.
