Initially, the driver was reported to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center.
The incident occurred on State Route 95 when a northbound vehicle struck a donkey near Airport Centre Boulevard. The impact caused the vehicle to veer into the southbound lanes, where it collided head-on with a box truck.
“The driver, originally thought to have non-life-threatening injuries, has ultimately succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment today,” Lt. Terrinoni stated. He further added that the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Crash Team is continuing its investigation into the accident.
