The Hispanic Vote Coalition is intensifying efforts to register voters across Arizona, Nevada, and Colorado. The initiative includes a series of pastor events and the newly launched Bless the Ballot campaign, according to a press release obtained by AZ Free News.

The Bless the Ballot Campaign, introduced last week, engages Hispanic Christian pastors in crucial swing states. The coalition believes that the Hispanic vote will be pivotal in the 2024 election.

The coalition, established in April by Hispanic-led organizations — Job Creators Network, the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, and Bienvenido — aims to mobilize Hispanic voters around the ideals of faith, family, and freedom.

Mary Thomas, Executive Director of the Hispanic Vote Coalition, emphasized, “Hispanics and Christians can no longer remain passive while our values are under siege. This is a spiritual battle, and we must not be intimidated. We must fulfill our duty as Christians and Americans to vote based on our biblical values.”

Research underscores the coalition’s strategy. A Pew Research study shows that about 31% of Latinos in Arizona are either registered or lean Republican. Furthermore, Gallup reported a decline in national Democrat support among Latinos from 32% to 28% since 2020. An April 2024 APP/OnMessage poll highlighted in Newsweek reveals a “seismic realignment” among Hispanic voters.

“The Hispanic and Latino evangelical community will no longer stay silent,” stated Pastor Robert Albino, Jr., National Chapter Director of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference. He cited a civic awakening spurred by anti-Christian policies and emphasized, “Hispanic evangelicals will not align with any political party but will vote their Christian values.”

This initiative coincides with intensified efforts by the Arizona GOP to connect with Latino voters. The AZGOP has launched a Spanish-language ad during the 2024 Copa América Tournament. The ad features West Valley Republican State Rep. Steve Montenegro and AZGOP Chairwoman Gina Swoboda, focusing on issues from high living costs to education freedom.

As of this writing, the Hispanic Vote Coalition has not disclosed details for upcoming events. Updates will be available on their website.
