Republican Congressman Eli Crane and Congresswoman Debbie Lesko criticized Harris’s suitability for presidency. Crane called her a “radical progressive from California,” while Lesko targeted her record as Biden’s “border czar.”
Democrats showcased overwhelming support for Harris. Congressional candidate Yassamin Ansari highlighted the historic nature of her candidacy, while state Rep. Alma Hernandez chanted, “Harris/Kelly 2024. Let’s go.”
Republicans like House Speaker Ben Toma and Whip Teresa Martinez denounced Biden’s mental capacity and expressed skepticism over Harris’s nomination.
