Gila River Resorts & Casinos Joins as New Presenting Sponsor for Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships

(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.) – The 2024 Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships is set to make history on Saturday, October 26th, by introducing day and night polo for the first time. This expanded event will feature five thrilling matches coupled with an evening concert, showcasing new sponsors that bolster its already impressive lineup.
The Gila River Resorts and Casinos is stepping in as the Presenting Sponsor. This renowned establishment operates four prime locations within the southeast Phoenix metro area, providing resort experiences, dining, and gaming entertainment. “We are very pleased to partner with this dynamic luxury brand for the first time to help create unforgettable experiences for locals and visitors alike,” stated Gregory Divincent, Corporate Vice President of Marketing at Gila River Resorts & Casinos.
Joining Gila River are additional sponsors, including Mountainside Fitness, the City of Scottsdale, student loan relief lender Yrēfy, luxury auto dealership Aston Martin of Scottsdale, and Launch Powered by Compass, a luxury real estate brokerage. These sponsors contribute significantly to making the Championships America’s most popular polo event.
New features include “Polo After Dark,” made possible through the City of Scottsdale’s installation of lights at WestWorld of Scottsdale’s polo field. The event will also present a special evening concert planned by Relentless Beats, enhancing the overall experience. “We are pleased to announce these outstanding new sponsors. They enable us to improve and expand, showcasing top polo teams alongside great local and national companies,” noted Jason Rose, Event Founder and Producer.
The Championships highlight a spectrum of matches featuring teams from across the country and around the globe. The day opens with the Arizona Polo Team facing off against the Wales Polo Team, followed by the Nashville Polo Team competing with the Pride World Polo League. The main attraction will see reigning champions Aspen Valley Polo Club, including polo star Nic Roldan, face Napa Valley. The night matches will see New Orleans take on Calistoga, with the Sonoma County Polo Team challenging the El Paso Polo Team on the newly illuminated field.
Returning fan-favorites include the Canine Couture Fashion Show by Lugari Pet Salon and The World’s Longest Catwalk Fashion Show produced by Phoenix Fashion Week. Additionally, luxury car and equestrian displays from Barrett-Jackson and Bentley Scottsdale will grace the event, complemented by exotic cars showcased throughout. The Riot House Polo DayClub and Grimaldi’s Pizza Disco add to the festivities.
