A new poll suggests President Trump retains a slight edge over Vice President Kamala Harris in Arizona as the November General Election nears.

Emerson College Polling recently published its findings from swing state surveys, revealing Trump leading Harris by three percentage points (50% to 47%). The poll surveyed 920 likely voters in Arizona between September 27 and 28.

Key insights from the poll highlight voters’ sentiments. Approval ratings for President Joe Biden linger at 37%, with 55% expressing disapproval. In contrast, Governor Katie Hobbs’ approval stands at 40%, while 38% disapprove of her performance.

The survey indicates a small fraction—just over two percent—of voters are undecided between the two candidates. Notably, 78% of these undecided respondents leaned toward Trump.

Both candidates have similar favorable ratings; Harris sits at 49% favorable and 51% unfavorable, while Trump has an identical record. When it comes to pressing issues, voters overwhelmingly prioritize the economy, encompassing jobs, inflation, and taxes, alongside immigration.

Regarding personal financial outlooks, 53% of voters believe Trump would better their situation, compared to 43% for Harris. Safety concerns also dominate; 57% feel their communities are less safe than five years ago, and 60% perceive their economic condition has deteriorated over the same period.

Additionally, a majority, 52%, believe the U.S. government is spending excessively on military aid to Ukraine, with only 16% thinking otherwise.

With Arizona’s eleven electoral votes being pivotal in the race to 270 electoral votes, the stakes are high for both candidates as the election approaches.
