DENVER — The Associated Press projected victory for Former President Donald Trump early Wednesday morning, marking a significant moment in the ongoing electoral process.

A detailed interactive map outlining the Electoral College results reveals the current standings of each candidate. With 538 electors in total, a candidate needs a minimum of 270 electoral votes to secure the presidency. Most states allocate all their electoral votes to the candidate who wins the popular vote in that state.

In this election, the Associated Press has also projected that Vice President Kamala Harris will win Colorado’s 10 electoral votes, which are based on the state’s representation: two U.S. Senators and eight U.S. House Members.

For those seeking more granular information, the map provides county-by-county results for Colorado and other states. Accessing this data is straightforward—either click directly on the state or utilize the “National Map” dropdown menu for your selection.

When will the final winner be known? Results are typically announced after polls close in each state on election night, but delays can occur. In previous elections, the time taken to declare a winner has varied significantly.

For instance, Joe Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 election four days post-Election Day, on Nov. 7, while Donald Trump was called the winner in 2016 just after 2 a.m. on Nov. 9. The speed of these declarations has fluctuated based on various factors, including the counting of mail-in ballots.

In 2012, the AP announced that Barack Obama had been re-elected at 11:38 p.m. on election night, after confirming his victory in Colorado. The 2008 election saw an early call for Obama around 11 p.m. ET, indicating a historic win against John McCain.
