2 people were hurt after a crash involving a wrong-way driver on I-17 in Phoenix. Both of the drivers are being investigated for being impaired.


The Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to a significant crash early Sunday morning on Interstate 17, involving a driver traveling the wrong way.

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 2 a.m. near Adams Street, injuring two individuals. The department is currently investigating impairment as a potential factor in the crash.

The wrong-way driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Authorities are looking into the possibility of alcohol impairment.
