PHOENIX — Arizona’s weather will experience fluctuations this week as a brief cooling trend makes way for rising temperatures. Expect highs to reach the low 90s on Thursday, followed by a jump into the mid-90s on Friday and Saturday.

Concerns about wildfire risks remain as the Greer fire continues to burn in eastern Arizona. Fortunately, forecasts indicate lighter winds for the region tonight and Thursday, providing a brief respite from harsher conditions. However, wind speeds are anticipated to pick up again over the weekend.

A weather system will sweep past the state on Sunday and Monday, bringing gusty winds and a drop in temperatures. By the end of the weekend, highs in the Valley are expected to fall into the 80s.
