West Phoenix crash left 400+ people without power


PHOENIX — A single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning resulted in a power outage affecting over 400 residents in west Phoenix, authorities reported. The accident occurred at approximately 2 a.m. at the intersection of 63rd Avenue and Thomas Road.

The collision caused several power lines to fall across the road. In response, the Phoenix Police Department coordinated with Salt River Project (SRP) to manage the downed lines and restore power.

As per SRP’s update, around 454 customers experienced power disruptions due to the incident. Fortunately, power was restored by Sunday afternoon.

No information regarding the condition of the vehicle’s occupant has been released, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
